Anyone that has followed my photography for the last 5 years knows my never-ending battle with copyright infringement. My photography has been used for products for sale on Amazon, used on business websites, advertisements, book covers, music promotion, youtube videos and dozens of products and digital usages all WITHOUT MY PERMISSION ! I have sent out over 1000 emails, DMCA notices and cease and desist letters and yet it still happens. Copyrighting and registering 800+ photos through the government has done very little to deter this crime especially when lawyers won't take a case because of fear it will be dragged out for a couple of years which means no quick payday. Besides the obvious copyright infringements the photos have been thousands of times without so much of a name credit on every social media platform, blogs, etc. People have definitely benefited and profited more from my photography than I have over the last 5 years. While taking a living away from me is one thing my but something takes it to the next level and that's claiming my photography as your own. A "photographer" on Instagram took one of my Ben Franklin Bridge photos that was taken 13 years ago, tinted it blues and posted it on his feed with no mention of my name. He had a couple of response that said "great photo" and his response was "thank you", like he was the photographer that took the photo. A couple people called him out and he quickly removed photo, offered no apology and then blocked those people. This is far from the only time that this has happened.
