Walking Meditation

Walking alone in Philadelphia's Wissahickon Park gives me a place to meditate and contemplate my art and the direction of it. Away from the mess of the subway, the izombie sidewalk creatures and other urban background noises, thoughts come with much more clarity. Over the last two years during the warmer months and in the Fall the park has been overrun by mostly people from other states so you have to pick your days wisely and never on the weekends. My preference is for completely grey cloudy days that might depress the masses but that I find very relaxing. I usually only bring two things with me which are an old small point and shoot camera and a note pad to write down ideas as they come to me.
