Chinatown

 Every five years I would set aside a couple of months where my main focus was Philadelphia's Chinatown neighborhood at night. This coming January will mark five years, but I will not be continuing the tradition. It's become too depressing watching Chinatown being chipped away at, and sometimes chomped at. The Philadelphia Convention Center decimated a couple of blocks all by itself. Hotels, sports bars, and non-Eastern businesses have attacked from the South and the West. And the recent scare with a sports arena on fringe of the neighborhood. Some feel that this neighborhoods location in center city is more valuable than the culture being destroyed.
