Newsstand
Today there are no newsstands in any of Philadelphia's train stations. My favorite was the one located under the Claes Oldenburg Clothespin Sculpture, across from city hall. For years I would stop there and pick up a newspaper to bring with me to Little Pete's diner, and a pack of gun for afterwards. They were the nicest guys working there, and they were the eyes and ears of the station.
With the proliferation of digital, the transit agency deemed them a blight and refused to renew their lease.
